Duty Description: S&F Consulting Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Custodian Supervisor to oversee our custodial team for two buildings totaling 50,000 sq ft at Horsham ARC. This role requires a dynamic leader to manage a team of 6 custodians, coordinating daily cleaning schedules, conducting inspections, and ensuring all areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of 6 custodians, organizing and directing their daily activities to ensure efficient operation.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules for all areas of the buildings, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and external spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises to determine the need for repairs or maintenance and ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Train new custodians on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and the use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability.
- Coordinate with the Facilities Manager to address any operational challenges, improve cleaning processes, and implement best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, providing a safe environment for both staff and building occupants.
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to custodial services promptly.
- Prepare reports on staff performance, cleaning activities, and other relevant metrics for senior management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in custodial work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment, as well as health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with staff and building occupants.
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to lift, push, or pull objects, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions:
The Custodian Supervisor will work indoors and outdoors, managing tasks across two buildings. This position requires flexibility in hours, including the possibility of evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the facilities. Conditions of Employment:
